SLIDES
Slides are a simple but mega-fun rides consisting of a set of stairs reaching the top of a series of attached lanes. Riders climb the stairway with a mat, which is sat on to descend the slide. Available in 4, 6, or 8 lanes. The 8-lane version is impressive given its dimensions and the decorative impact due to the different colours of the lanes.
The model on the cover photo, which, rather than the usual stairs to reach the top, uses a moving walkway, is trailer-mounted. In case of the long duration of the show, the trailer is only used for transport, as once the ride reaches its destination, it’s assembled on the ground and lifted by two pistons.

THE SLIDE THAT CAPTIVATED NEW YORK
The nation’s most popular sporting event in the United States is the Super Bowl. Everything is big on the day!
Given the importance of the event, in the 4 days leading up to the final, 13 blocks of New York City around Times Square were set up as Super Bowl Boulevard, a themed outdoor street fair organised by the National Football League.
More than the concerts and other events organised specially for the celebrations, the star of Super Bowl Boulevard was our spectacular Giant Slide with 8 lanes, called Toboggan Run, commissioned by the NFL, and especially decorated for the Super Bowl.
Measuring 18 metres high and 60 metres long, it was set up on Broadway, under the shadows of Manhattan’s skyscrapers, over just a couple of days at temperatures down to almost -20°. And it immediately proved to be a success in terms of attendance and media interest: 25 thousand tickets sold (all proceeds went to charity), daily items on every news bulletin and in every newspaper, thousands and thousands of videos posted on the internet, and ridden by sports stars, show business celebrities.
