The difference between a Speedy Family Coaster and a classic roller coaster is that it does not have a lift hill. Instead, it is accelerated by a motor powered by busbars mounted to the track. This is why this type of coaster is called a powered coaster. In its original configuration, it travels through an oval with a small camelback. The maximum speed is around 6 m/s, making it a great family and kids’ coaster.
